This 13 storey building for Mersey Travel is based at Mann Island in Liverpool. Pentel Contracts provided their expertise to provide a shading system to reduce glare and heat gain to the full height glazing.
Careful consideration needed to be taken of the reflective glare from the water which could be present even when the sun is not directly on the building itself.
Pentel Contracts supplied and installed over 675 Silent Gliss roller blinds to the four facades of this building. These were predominantly side chain operated roller blinds but some heavy duty and motorised systems were required for certain areas of the building. All three Silent Gliss roller blind systems were fitted with Multiscreen fabric with either 5% or 10% openness depending on the orientation of the building.
Pentel Contracts have a wide range of solar shading solutions for all types of commercial and public buildings.
