This £30m, 1,200 pupil Academy has BT as a lead partner helping to drive the centre for excellence in digital communications and ICT. With such an emphasis on ICT glare control was important and Pentel Contracts were asked to provide their expertise.
Pentel Contracts proposed the Astralux 3000 gearbox roller blind system. With this roller blind a fixed crank handle is connected to the gearbox to raise or lower the blind to any position. This operating solution is popular with high use environments such as schools and colleges.
Astralux 4000 dim-out blind systems were used to provide excellent control over light in sensitive areas.
With this project there was a mix of manual and motorised blinds depending on the position of the blind, its size and the frequency of adjustment.
Pentel Contracts also installed cubicle tracks and shower curtains to this site.
