This £42m project has created one of the largest providers of vocational training in the North West. Pentel Contracts, with extensive experience in providing solar shading to the educational sector, were contracted to help control heat and light gain.
Pentel Contracts proposed the Astralux 3000 roller blind system with gearbox operation. This system is operated with a crank handle fitted to one side of the blind which raises and lowers the blind to any position. At this site the crank handles were permanently fixed to the gearbox of each blind but a detachable option is also available to prevent unauthorised use of the blinds.
To provide a high degree of dim-out in where required Pentel Contracts installed Astralux 4000 dim-out blinds with both manual and motorised operation.
