This imposing city centre Grade 2 listed building was undergoing major refurbishment to provide approximately 200,000 square feet of office space over seven floors. Pentel Contracts provided tensioned roller blinds to the atria.
The original building contained five floors with an additional two floors being added during the course of the refurbishment, these being designed around two new atria.
The atria glazing comprised 3 number 8m x 14m sections and Pentel Contracts supplied and installed Astralux 5000 tensioned roller blind systems to cover each 14m expanse of glass.
Operation of this tensioned blind system was via two automatic sensors with a wireless radio switch override from the reception desk some 7 floors below.
